I "upgraded" to the Cyclops after the unfortunate demise of my pink candy Oystr. It was on sale, so I figured what the heck.

What a disappointment. I use the phone primarily for texting and have a terrible time doing it. For example- if I wanted to text the word "word" to someone, 9 times out of 10, it comes out like "wnmqpd" because instead of getting to "o" in three taps, it goes to "n" then back to "m" etc. To get to an apostrophe (9 taps on the 1 key) it sometimes takes 4 tries.

Then there's the problem of the phone screen "whiting out" at random moments. This is easily solved by removing the battery and reinstalling it, but honestly- do I really need to be doing that every few days??

The lack of external antenna is a real drawback as well. The signal just isn't as strong as with my Oystr, and I experience many more dropped calls.

Overall- not worth the regular price. Since I got it on sale, I can put up with the annoyances until something better comes along.

It does everything you would want it to...however my screen faded from the sun. I can't tell what I took pictures of anymore! I can't turn my volume down anymore, because the button has worn down and doesn't work! I'm looking to buy another phone, though, this phone still works.

it was ok and i am a teen but i had my cell phone in my pocket and it got wet but it takes ten minutes for the water to mess with the phone and the phone is messed up now and the camera is horriable

I use it for texting mostly, but i've had problems, with it i dont get the best service unless im at home because there is a cell phone tower in my backyard pretty much. the battery dies quickly, and after charging it so much it wont charge anymore. its pretty much 75% plastic, 1% electronic 24% failure.

I use to be an Virgin Mobile Insider,and have used VM before.I had the K9,Oystr, and still the K10.So this is my fourth VM phone.My mother also had a K9 and now has my old Oystr.I have friends with the K9 and Switchback.One thing I love about VM is they are cheap but reliable.And the reception is good here.The phone itself I got from Ebay used for [$].I had errors with getting it reactive,but other than that,it's a great phone when I did.I love the mobile IM and email features.Most phones with it now are cheaply made candy bar models that are called 'crackberries'.But this is a great small flip with all those things!It works just like on a PC minus the fancy features. But you can send and receive email from the major online email carriers like Yahoo,AOL,AIM,Netzero/Juno,Earthlink,Comcast,and Verizon.And IM on AIM/AOL and Yahoo.It works well if you are like me and have friend you always IM and email on those carriers. MSN is less used and therefore is not included.Mobile web is pretty cool with $5 a month 5MB use.I se mine for Mobile Myspace and Mocospace.If you use the web for Social Networking,there is a $5 a month fee to use the utility to use Xanga,Vox,Asian Ave,Livejournal,Rabble,and more!I at times use both,but it's best to use or the other and not both.Texting is cool too and fairly easy to do.There is text tones as well,which is cool if you want music to play or a talking voice instead of a 'ding'.I text a lot and IM and email. So the 1000 text,IM,and email work for me. $10 a month!Games are a cool part of the phone too.There are a lot of random ones.Most are puzzle games or arcade. A few or top-sellers.You have to buy what you like. I find a lot of good ones I like.Talking is clear too most times.The speaker phone is fairly good but tinny-sounding.I mostly use the calling features for important calls and emergencies.Like 911,calling a cab,and calling my other when I am on a date or at work late.But as I hardly do these it's hardly used,and I rarely use more than 30-45 mins a month!Sugar Momma fills in for me there.It's great. 5 mins a day for free! VM is great,the phones are very cool,and the service is not bad.

i have gone through two of these phones . the first time , it wouldn't hold a charge . this time , it constantly freezes up so then you have to restart it . its very durable because i've dropped it about 70 times , and it is very good for texting .

This phone is so awesome. I have had two other phones and the signal has never been this good. I recently went on a trip and the battery lasted the whole time without me having to charge the phone or charge it.It was a two day trip that ended late at night. I love this phone.

This phone is great and sturdy, for me the reception was always good. Although I must say that the camera phone is AWFUL. I have tried every which way to try and fix it so that it's not so dark and snowy, but nothing helped. Not enough mega pics. Other than that the phone is good.

This phone was nice except for the fact that I Never got a signal, even when I was outside. And the camera sucked really sucked. And I thought the phone was too long. The preloaded pics were ugly too, and the way to phone was set up too I didn't like. And right after I bought it I charged it for like 4 hours and then again later on that night, and I didn't even use it. I had to keep charging my battery like 2-3 times a day otherwise the battery would die. Unless you really really want this phone I would say don't buy it. Bad Service, just bad everything. Except for how it looks. I had to take it back because I could never call anyone or receive any of my phone calls.

One of the best prepaid phones out there; priced right too. Has bright message/incoming/missed call indicator and a loud ringer that gets my attention from across the shop. E-Z texting, has AIM,picture messaging and internet capability.Red backlit keys are a nice touch. Can attach sound clips to picture messages too. Megapixel camera is not-so-hot and best used for daylight shots. Case is too smooth and it can slip out of your hands if your not careful. Great phone otherwise.

This phone is "ok" and I mean ok. When I first bought the phone I liked it, it looked good had good feature's, light, and looked good then. Now after having it about 2 months I hate it , its kind of fat and ugly, the Camera SUCKS I mean it litterally the quality sucked and the diffrent modes, daylight, darkness also sucked. IT froze when I tried to go on the internet and buy ringtones. AIM takes about 30 minutes to load. The color themes are bad, Now I am swithing to the Super Slice way better my sis has 1 or wild card

The picture quality is ok at close range, just not from afar. I am glad it has a flash and so many neat camera setting. The signal isnt the most wonderful but it works in most places. Fast "stuff" downloading time. A bit slow when "surfing" the providers extras. If you download the update, you can get Yahoo IM aswell as AIM. I was running and my phone flew from my pocked, opened, and skidded along the walmart parking lot and it sustained only minor sratches to the body..nothing to the screen or camera, its holding together AWESOME! Quite durable. Easy to quickly set to vibe if you forgot or somthing..just hold down a button! All done! Over all, this is a GOOD phone.

This phone was chosen because there was not a vast variety. If you cant get over the outward apperance, the short battery life will get you. Im going out today to get the Super Slice. This phone is good for texting, but the pictures arent really good, but u can edit them. Overall the phone was okay.

I had this phone for almost 3 months before i got so fed up with it that I returned it. The thing that bothered me most about it was that it was constantly freezing up on me and I had to take out the battery and restart it. Also, data service was slow, especially picture messaging. It took over a minute every time I wanted to retrieve a picture. My new phone takes about 15 seconds. The phone was flimsy and after a while the screen or top of the phone was really loose when it was flipped open. Hmm to balance out all the bad I need to think of some good things about this phone... Oh! you can edit your pictures and that is really sweet.
Overall I would say if you want to get a really good phone from Virgin Mobile you should try out the Super Slice.

Well it's a pretty good phone but the camera isn't wicked awesome and it freezes all the time. It is pretty durable though because it goes everywhere with me and it hasn't broke yet.. Oh yea and sometimes the sound just goes away and then you hear this loud crackle 5 minutes later and it comes back.. Its weird.

This phone is capable of aim but it will not let me connect to the im service on my phone so I am unable to send ims through my phone. Also it takes a long time to receive texts messages at times from other service providers especialy verizon. It does have many features that I enjoy such as create your own wallpaper and the voice memo!

This phone is pretty good. fast porssesing, has aim, cool design, and easy to flip open. But... even though the camera is 1/3 megapixels the quality is still very bad, there are phones that are cheaper that have a better camera. Like a vga camera. But it still takes pictures so its fun.

This phone is easy to navigate and is self-explanative in the "Information" option. It has all the major "bells and whistles" that I would like to have in a phone at a reasonable price. Among other features, I like making my own wallpaper through the camera feature and the use of voice recognition.

This phone sucks, i paid 60 bucks for this phone, and it broke after 2 days. I went back to radio shack and bought the switch_back, much better. It's cooler too cause it has a QWERTY key pad. DON'T BUY THIS PHONE!!
