Comments about MyMusix MyMusix 2GB MP3 Player:

I've had this player for a total of 6 months now and I have had nothing but trouble. I set it up fine and then one day it froze and made this loud screeching sound. I had to unplug the earphones and wait until I could find a tiny pin to reset it. Then all my songs were gone. Which doesn't happen all the time when you reset it (I've had to do it a couple of times). Then it wasn't registering on any computers so I wasn't able to put more songs on or to charge it. I sent it in and 2 weeks later got my player back. Then after 3 times of adding songs and then them disappearing, I had a whole month of no problems. YIPEE! Now I am currently trying to decide if I should just cut my losses or if I should go digging for my receipt again so I can send it in for repairs. Because, now, the hold button is stuck. I had to get out my trusty pin (I keep it with my now so I can reset it right away) to turn it off. So essentially, the player is useless now, because I can't turn it back on because it is in the locked position.

The battery life is good.
Ease of use is not intuitive but good.

I, like many who reviewed, like this MP3. I bought it on sale right after Christmas and have had only one instance when it froze on me (but I think that was due to the static electricity shock it took at the gym). Headphones are cheap so I recommend buying a good quality pair for listening enjoyment. It also has a built in FM tuner. It syncs great with Windows Media Player 10.
I liked it so much I bought two more for my children.

I refuse to run Winvirus, I mean Windows. I run only Linux and this little sleek unit popped right up under Linux. Easily dragged and dropped MP3 files into it, setup folders, etc. Very very nice.

Just wish it had a power button! I keep forgetting that to turn it on I have to press and hold PLAY and the same way to shut it off. I will get over it though!

Bought 1GB model as gift for my nephew, was so impressed I bought 2GB unit for myself - on sale (whoohoo) - to replace my 1 GB Zen Nano Plus. Control buttons are more intuitive & easier to use than Zen's rocker. FM tuner seems stronger. I don't like the earphones, prefer the Sony in-ear (closed type) phones I bought to replace the equally poor phones that came with my Zen.

Comments about MyMusix MyMusix 2GB MP3 Player:

This player has most definitely got the depth of sound and power to make the fussiest music lover happy. It comes with minimal software and makes use of Windows Media Player 11 (for me, XP) to load and SYNC files.I have worked it hard since I have got it and it is the quite simply, in my opinion, the best out there for the money.I did get the 2 GB model on sale for $50, but even at $80, compared to an I-POD, buy this one.The only thing it does not do is play any kind of lossless format (WAV, FLAC or APE).Been making a lot of 320 kbs MP3s.Never thought I would ever find Windows Media Player useful for anything, but they have to get props for the ease of use it exhibits with this non-native device.Have actually used the high quality WMA (192kbs) format when ripping from CD and is quite impressive and very clean sounding for a compression of that bitrate. If this is on sale, get a bunch, they will make excellent Holiday presents, they are awesome, the enclosed USB extension cable is helpful, the headphones are not super good, bring your own, and bring a good pair cause this thing goes down to 20hz (very low) and up to 20Khz (very high), and it carries the entire range extremely well. Booming Lows and Soaring Highs. One other thing, it is capable of USB 2.0 'Full Speed'(12mbs), NOT 'High Speed'(450mbs).To sync the whole player full takes a couple, 5-15 minutes, depends on how much you are putting on it and whether you got your USB 2.0 working right. It is USB backwards compatible, I did load and charge it on USB 1.1, although it did take a while.I am thoroughly impressed and I like, no love, to complain. This is the coolest audio device I have ever owned.Great sound, awesome, descriptive and informative display, intuitive ease of use.[...]I'll sell these things for you all day long.Only knock is no lossless files, but you can get darn close and most people don't notice the difference anymore with all these novices paying $0.99 for MP3 quality compressed, distorted and basically incomplete songs. It's comparable to looking at the DaVinci's "Last Supper" in 256 colors, that's what MP3s are to music.Granted you can make adequate, useful ones but they are always at a much higher bitrate than what is commercially sold on the music sites. Also, audiobooks do not require a lossless format to be worthwhile, so this player is truly ideal for that genre.Don't hesitate to snap this baby up, you will not be disappointed, just be prepared to get familiar with WMP. You can put music on and off without WMP, but WMP actually does a nice job of tagging and sorting. (Can not believe I have something nice to say about Windows Media Player, I have considered it to be the plague for years)Go to [@] for updates, models, info etc...Rocked out the entire time I typed this on the player. Can't beat it - [...]

Comments about MyMusix MyMusix 2GB MP3 Player:

Besides the fact that this is lighter, stronger, has a built in Radio and Mic, and attached USB, its the same as a highly rated Ipod. There is one flaw if you want a song to listen to and it begins w/ a w you have to scroll through as many songs as you have to find it. But for less than half the price, We can probally deal w/ a little scrolling.
