This is my first MP3 player. I found the instructions very easy to follow. I loved that I didn't need to add any software to my computer to download music to this player. Bought a second one for much delighted friend.

I've had this player for a total of 6 months now and I have had nothing but trouble. I set it up fine and then one day it froze and made this loud screeching sound. I had to unplug the earphones and wait until I could find a tiny pin to reset it. Then all my songs were gone. Which doesn't happen all the time when you reset it (I've had to do it a couple of times). Then it wasn't registering on any computers so I wasn't able to put more songs on or to charge it. I sent it in and 2 weeks later got my player back. Then after 3 times of adding songs and then them disappearing, I had a whole month of no problems. YIPEE! Now I am currently trying to decide if I should just cut my losses or if I should go digging for my receipt again so I can send it in for repairs. Because, now, the hold button is stuck. I had to get out my trusty pin (I keep it with my now so I can reset it right away) to turn it off. So essentially, the player is useless now, because I can't turn it back on because it is in the locked position.

This mp3 player is very good.
The battery life is good.
Ease of use is not intuitive but good.
works with windows of Linux.
The mirror display makes it impossible to read in bright light(sunlight).
My 10year old was able to figure it out and has been happy with it.

I, like many who reviewed, like this MP3. I bought it on sale right after Christmas and have had only one instance when it froze on me (but I think that was due to the static electricity shock it took at the gym). Headphones are cheap so I recommend buying a good quality pair for listening enjoyment. It also has a built in FM tuner. It syncs great with Windows Media Player 10.
I liked it so much I bought two more for my children.

I refuse to run Winvirus, I mean Windows. I run only Linux and this little sleek unit popped right up under Linux. Easily dragged and dropped MP3 files into it, setup folders, etc. Very very nice.
Just wish it had a power button! I keep forgetting that to turn it on I have to press and hold PLAY and the same way to shut it off. I will get over it though!

Will not drag and drop on XP, for whatever reason. and is such a Piece of [*]!
Comments about MyMusix MyMusix 2GB MP3 Player:
I hated this device. I went through two of them, and they both froze up about 2 months after i had gotten it.....it was one of my worst mp3s ever!
Comments about MyMusix MyMusix 2GB MP3 Player:
I received this for Christmas. My husband and I have had the mp3 player vs. iPod debate for a while...and let's just say I won. While he's stuck with his iPod's battery out because it froze on him AGAIN...I'm rocking out on this mp3 player.
Comments about MyMusix MyMusix 2GB MP3 Player:
It has worked right since I recieved it at Christmas. I talked with the technical support and reloaded firmware that helped for a while. I finally quite working all together.
Comments about MyMusix MyMusix 2GB MP3 Player:
I have pro head phones and I think this player sounds better than direct CD player with the same phones.
Comments about MyMusix MyMusix 2GB MP3 Player:
not bad for the price, however i recommend different ear phones for improved listening. these that came with it dont do the player justice. i went with sony earbuds after trying three others.
Comments about MyMusix MyMusix 2GB MP3 Player:
Easy to use, great sound, user friendly. Would recommend to anyone.
Comments about MyMusix MyMusix 2GB MP3 Player:
Bought 1GB model as gift for my nephew, was so impressed I bought 2GB unit for myself - on sale (whoohoo) - to replace my 1 GB Zen Nano Plus. Control buttons are more intuitive & easier to use than Zen's rocker. FM tuner seems stronger. I don't like the earphones, prefer the Sony in-ear (closed type) phones I bought to replace the equally poor phones that came with my Zen.
Comments about MyMusix MyMusix 2GB MP3 Player:
Takes too long to charge the battery. The player died on me in the gym after a full days charge. Unit went hard broke, it did not last three months. A waist of money.
Comments about MyMusix MyMusix 2GB MP3 Player:
For the price, this was a GREAT gift idea.
I love mine.
Comments about MyMusix MyMusix 2GB MP3 Player:
Just wanted to note again, this player is awesome.
The 2GB one is the one I got and I have had zero problems or issues with it whatsoever.
It is everything I said it was in my prior review and more.
Just the best deal on the market for what feels and acts like a high-end player.
Comments about MyMusix MyMusix 2GB MP3 Player:
Random play is not random. Each time it starts up you here the same songs in the same order. It should remember where it left off when shutdown and begin there. [...]

This player has most definitely got the depth of sound and power to make the fussiest music lover happy. It comes with minimal software and makes use of Windows Media Player 11 (for me, XP) to load and SYNC files.I have worked it hard since I have got it and it is the quite simply, in my opinion, the best out there for the money.I did get the 2 GB model on sale for $50, but even at $80, compared to an I-POD, buy this one.The only thing it does not do is play any kind of lossless format (WAV, FLAC or APE).Been making a lot of 320 kbs MP3s.Never thought I would ever find Windows Media Player useful for anything, but they have to get props for the ease of use it exhibits with this non-native device.Have actually used the high quality WMA (192kbs) format when ripping from CD and is quite impressive and very clean sounding for a compression of that bitrate. If this is on sale, get a bunch, they will make excellent Holiday presents, they are awesome, the enclosed USB extension cable is helpful, the headphones are not super good, bring your own, and bring a good pair cause this thing goes down to 20hz (very low) and up to 20Khz (very high), and it carries the entire range extremely well. Booming Lows and Soaring Highs. One other thing, it is capable of USB 2.0 'Full Speed'(12mbs), NOT 'High Speed'(450mbs).To sync the whole player full takes a couple, 5-15 minutes, depends on how much you are putting on it and whether you got your USB 2.0 working right. It is USB backwards compatible, I did load and charge it on USB 1.1, although it did take a while.I am thoroughly impressed and I like, no love, to complain. This is the coolest audio device I have ever owned.Great sound, awesome, descriptive and informative display, intuitive ease of use.[...]I'll sell these things for you all day long.Only knock is no lossless files, but you can get darn close and most people don't notice the difference anymore with all these novices paying $0.99 for MP3 quality compressed, distorted and basically incomplete songs. It's comparable to looking at the DaVinci's "Last Supper" in 256 colors, that's what MP3s are to music.Granted you can make adequate, useful ones but they are always at a much higher bitrate than what is commercially sold on the music sites. Also, audiobooks do not require a lossless format to be worthwhile, so this player is truly ideal for that genre.Don't hesitate to snap this baby up, you will not be disappointed, just be prepared to get familiar with WMP. You can put music on and off without WMP, but WMP actually does a nice job of tagging and sorting. (Can not believe I have something nice to say about Windows Media Player, I have considered it to be the plague for years)Go to [@] for updates, models, info etc...Rocked out the entire time I typed this on the player. Can't beat it - [...]

This is excellent for audiobooks.I see that people have been happy upgrading firmware and I probably will.I loaded and charged it last night on my USB 1.1.The enclosed headphones are not that good.My SONY earbuds on this are just incredible sounding.Good highs, Deep bottoms. Can't beat it for[$]

Excelent little gadget, especially for the price. Setup had only one glitch, mainly because i didnt read the instructions, but after updating the firmware of the player, all was well. Adding music couldnt be easier in WinXP, simply drag and drop. you can even use it as a thumb drive!
Comments about MyMusix MyMusix 2GB MP3 Player:
I was easily able to drag-n-drop files to/from my iMac in Tiger (Didn't need to emulate a Windows). When I use folders, though, it doesn't create multiple playlists based on the folders I put my mp3s in (I have to name every file based on how I want them to alphabetize).
Comments about MyMusix MyMusix 2GB MP3 Player:
Packaged headset leaves alot on the table as far as sound quality. However, with proper sealing earbuds, the sound quality is fantastic. Still this unit is a bargain and has a very intuitve user interface. Simply a great player with some good earbuds.

i love it, simple to use , i even washed it by mistake- keeps working!
Comments about MyMusix MyMusix 2GB MP3 Player:
beats the iPod Nano in price, features, battery life, and sound quality. very impressive MP3 player
Comments about MyMusix MyMusix 2GB MP3 Player:
Besides the fact that this is lighter, stronger, has a built in Radio and Mic, and attached USB, its the same as a highly rated Ipod. There is one flaw if you want a song to listen to and it begins w/ a w you have to scroll through as many songs as you have to find it. But for less than half the price, We can probally deal w/ a little scrolling.
Comments about MyMusix MyMusix 2GB MP3 Player:
Great deal for the price. I highly suggest this player. Easy to get songs onto especially when using a media player, and fast charging makes it even better. Who needs an ipod?
Comments about MyMusix MyMusix 2GB MP3 Player:
I got this as a july 4th present for myself, and it turned out real nice. [...] the only thing i didnt like waz it had an error when i first installed music, but after a few mintues worth i fixed it. not as kool as an ipod, but makes up for it in size. and its shiny!

sweet thing, the best mp3 players in retail america today, i install audio systems in homes and most homes dont get the same level of sound out of 1000$+ home installs vs the portable mymusix
