Satellite CRUSHES terrestrial radio....dog, don't even think of comparing the two..I'll warn errbody,I had this since the end of January 06`...I have run through 3 antennas...the wires can get flimsy,or overall wear out over time,and the suction jaun falls off your windshield a lot but thats the only complaints I have,I never got more out the money I spent than I did wit Sirius..

You must mount the magnetic antenna on the metal part or top of your car for a good signal. The car itself becomes a dish when installed correctly. I get a better signal than terrestial radio (free radio)and SIRIUS's sound quality is much better than free radio. Also, I now have no commercials!!!

Great radio, lots of features. I purchased mine at Radio Shack, had a problem with the antenna after a year of use and Radio Shack replaced the entire unit. Love it, great price!

You better hope and pray nothing goes wrong with your unit. Because if you have to call Sirius to get help, your in for the long haul. It takes them like 45 min. just to answer the phone. Horrible customer service!!!

The best out of the 3 units that I have. I'm a big NFL fan so Sirius was the only choice for me. Only complaint is the size. I wish it was a bit more compact but unlike the newest sportster, this one has some power behind it if you plan on using the fm transmitter. Wouldn't make any difference if you plan on hardwiring it or running it through your tape deck. Love the fact you can set it up to let you know when your team or teams is/are playing. The display on the sportster was also a big sell for me. A bit bulky(too bulky for my smallest car) but overall, a great unit.

I love this radio. The screen is big, easy to read. If you scroll through the menu for 5 min, you won't even need the manual. And the best features, game and score alert for your favorite NCAA, NFL, NBA, and NHL teams, plus Nascar is moving to Sirius in January '07. And the radio has a 45 sec memory replay feature. The only downfalls with this unit is the display is really bright, I have mine set to the lowest level and it still seams too bright to have mounted on the window for night driving. The FM modulator is weak, I'd suggest hard-wireing the unit if possible. The final low point is the amount of heat it generates, it won't burn you but it does get warm. There have been no recalls or reports of the radios burning up so no worries. I purchased this radio purley on another owners suggestion and reading reviews on the web. I could not be happier with this radio.

Worst product ever made. Sorry that my wife purchased this unit. Replaced antenna after 2 months ($39) and then 2 months later unit stop receiving satelite signal. Contacted Sirius just to find out that it is on a 6 week backorder and they cannot give me voucher to go to any store to get another one. That was in June 06 and I am still waiting and complaining to them. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS UNIT.

This is the absolute best SIRIUS receiver available right now. I bought this receiver as an upgrade from my Orbiter (an older SIRIUS model), and I can not stop using the new Replay function. Since there are no commercials on SIRIUS, there is always a song on that I don?t want to miss, or that football game that I cannot miss a play of (go BEARS!), so when I stop and get out of my car for gas or something, I hit pause, do whatever I have to do, and when I get back in the car, hit play, and I haven?t missed a single second. PLUS, if I was listening to the game, (where there are occasional breaks for when commercialized media MUST have their advertising time), I can use that time that I spent inside the gas station to skip over what I don?t want to hear, or that one song they play that I hate. Genius idea for SIRIUS! About a month ago, I decided to buy the SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO tuner for my aftermarket in-dash head unit (stereo that I added to my car) because it was ?Satellite Radio Ready,? and I thought I would rather have the radio come directly through my stereo as opposed to having a separate unit, which was my Sportster Replay. I was completely wrong, and am now in the process of letting SIRIUS know to switch my signal back to the Sportster because with it built into my stereo, there is no improvement in audio quality (which I was looking for), and even with a ?dot-matrix fluorescent display,? (meaning it has pixels, and looks much like the screen on the Non-Replay Starmate, a discontinued SIRIUS receiver, only a little smaller) screen, it still can?t show the artist and the song at the same time (which the Sportster can), and even when it scrolls the words across the screen (which it only does once at the beginning of the song), it only shows the first 16 characters. Lately, I?ve been listening to a lot of ?The Grateful Dea,? instead of the Grateful Dead. Now, I will say that I don?t have the best of head-units, and I believe that if I had a Double Din stereo with a fold out 5? touch screen, then having SIRIUS built in might be the way to go, but I don?t have the $2,500 to pay for a stereo head unit like that, and most people would agree with me that it would be a little extreme to have something like that in your car. I am truly sorry for ranting, but I hope this review can help you make your purchase decision. Oh, make sure you head up to a RadioShack store. The guys there are great, and find one that truly wants to help you, because most of them really want to. Peace out.

Works better in the fall with less leaves, i only have drop outs on one road with lots of trees and its for a short time, i think my antenna might be going though.

I bought 2 of these. The smallest tree overhead will knock out the signal and forget about overcast days. My older Kenwood did not have this problem.

Got the SIRIUS Sportster Replay with Car Kit for Christmas. The manager at the Radio Shack even came out to the parking lot and helped me install it which was easier then I thought except for a couple of things. THe suction cup mounting doesn't stick to the windshield at all. However I put the end of it in my ash tray and closed the ash tray as far as it would go an bingo I was in busness. Really love the fact that I can pause the radio and setup the alerts for certain songs and ball games.

Great features and options. Recommend purchase of this unit, Only drawbacks... Mount for vehicle should have an option to hard mount the unit to the dash or center console and using the unit inside the house gets poor reception. I know they sell exterior home antennaes but why do you have to spend more? But I guess you have to pay to play.

I've used Sirius radio for about 18 months now and love it. I can't stop listening to the NFL channel and the music selection is almost overwhelming. They break rock down into about 20 sub-catagories. I love channel 26 Left of Center. They were playing Keane, Modest Mouse, and the Killers about six months before FM knew they existed. If you don't know who Death cab for Cutie, She Wants Revenge, Bright Eyes, and Patrick Wolf are it's because you don't have Sirius Radio, YET!!!

I purchased the Sportster Replay in mid September and I am very happy with this unit. The display is very easy to read and scrolling through to find what I want to hear is easy to use. The seek feature is nice to use since you can store 20 songs to seek out and let you know when it's playing on a certain channel. The sports Game Alert is a plus too. I find myself listening to one station and scrolling through all the sports scores (College Football & NFL) at the same time. Also when I am on the go I can pause the unit or go back and replay what I just heard when I miss something. This was the strongest selling feature that led me to buy this particular unit. I used the window mount for the first week and then decided to hard mount the unit in my dash. This works out very well and still allows me to easily remove the unit and plug it in to another car. The only thing I do not like about it is that they do not play all the Ohio State football games on Saturday which is something I was looking forward to since I travel in my car a lot. I do recommend this unit.
