I got mine for my birth day last year and i loved it. My front right knuckle arm broke soon though. A little super glue fixed it and it was good as new. I don't own it anymore, I sold it to my best friend because his electronics in his Firebird pooped out on him. I own the Barricade at the moment. It is modded for off road use.

you people are stupid if you are breaking these things. i have 12 xmods and have yet to break a part. take your time and be gentle when modding. dont "use your foot to stop them" they have a break! ream the paperwork. closest to hobby grade you can get for less than 100 dollars.

I have been using x-mods for a feew years and I think they are amazing. I believe this is a good addition to the xmod lineup. The only down fall is after a year or so they break, but are made well enough they can be fixed easily. I personly like the black skyline the best!

ok well my teacher got me my bro and my friend the bumblebee xmod we drove it around and mine and my friends broke! on the same dayyy my bros worked fine i tried to take off his boddy and his hole rear end fell offf yeah and i was driving it in my kitched "had the body off" and i put out my foot to stop it and one of the little plastic things broke! lol well its an ok xmod i guess just dont drive in small spots drive in big open ereas!

The plastic is the worst thing about it. It was all broken and weak, so I went to Atomicmods.com(go there) and got all alluminum parts, a stilleto with lithium polys, ball bearing differentials, a carbon shaft, composite center shafts, a V2.2 regulater board, and a T2 motor. now it can't break. I also race it and win $(hundreds) thanx to Atomicmods. The first to times I (tried) returned it they won't take it because I threw out the box. So I built an entirely new xmod. You spend the same amount of money on upgrades as replacement parts. For you losers who think stock is and driving around is fun, you should visit Atomicmods and screw plastic and standered dung. Get a Pro Pusle and some upgrades for that at Atomicmods.com too. Thanks 4 reading.

I am a Xmod builder, so I changed ever part to alluminum, installed a stilleto chassis, lithium polys, an Atomic motor, I bypassed the power switch, got Atomic super grip tires, got alluminum lugnuts, a spoiler, replaced every screw with some easier to remove ones, a rear ball bearing diff, a ball bearing front diff, composite center shafts, a carbon fibre shaft, derlin gears, and ceramic bearings. So I basicly had to build a new Xmod this "Xmod" was so bad. 'nuff said. DO NOT GET IT!!!

Okay so I see it as a good deal, getting an r/c car for [$]. I bring it home and pop in some batteries because I am anxious to use. I take it out of the box finally after 5-10 minutes and pop in batteries. I run it around the house and in about 15 minutes it doesn't move because the batteries have run out. Get more batteries in and all of a sudden it I don't have any steering control and it starts flipping at full speed into a wall. It was a foot away from the wall when I lost control so it happened quick. When I try to figure out whats wrong I find wholes where two screws should be and the whole suspension and front end is a fallen apart jumbled mess I can't fix. One of the screw shafts is broken and return it. I will never again buy an r/c toy from radioshack ever again. Basically don't buy it it cheap and badly made.

I thought this thing was the greatest, then the steering would stay on one side no madder what I did,then the motor would not move at all. So i picked it up and slammed it on the ground(it was so sucky i still broke it when I spent [$] on it)

the thing that annoyed me was i backed it up and i hit a wall. not even hard and then it started to make a clicking noise.dont use the screwdriver it came with because it doesnt work. i hd to take the gears out of the gear box and i had to unscrew the the gear box cover plate. both of the screws got stripped and i finnaly got to the gear box 1 WEEK LATER! it turned out that the holding pin for the ideler gear got moved out of place so i put it back in and its as goog as new.

I thought the car was great it runs fast without any upgrades and is is easy to control but almost all of the screws on the body were sort of striped but the will come off with some effort,the stock tires suck the r to smooth to use so i used some of my monster truck zip zap tires on the back and it worked great on carpet to the under glow drags alot if you dont ajust the battery pack the plastic bearings arent very good but they work just through on a stage 2 motor and som zip zap monster truck tires and you can drive almost anywere.

Poor quality: no user manual in the box. The place where the screw holing the rear suspension in place was broken out of the box so that when you take the body off (which you need to do to install batteries) the entire rear suspension falls apart. By holding it all together with my finger when putting the body on, I was able to drive the thing around in my house long enough to learn that the stock tires have no traction at all (so it goes very slow) and the ride hight is so low that it gets stuck on the cracks between the floorboards. I tried to raise the suspension by adjusting the screws in the front end and one of the plastic pieces in the front suspension broke, so now the car is unusable after about 5 minutes of actual use.

If this wasn't a present I had gotten my kid, it would be sitting in the trash right now. I think I'm either going to return it (for hopefully another one that isn't a piece of ****) or just buy another one and use the one I have as a parts car. I can foresee I'm going to need a lot of parts if it gets used at all.

Maybe I just got a bad car; if they are all like this one -- don't waste you money on one.

I thought the car ran great but the only problem i really had wiht it after i added the engine upgrade and suspsion upgrade it was better but almost all of the screws were striped on the body but luckly i was able to get them of but also some of the screws wouldnt go back in wihtout some effert but really over all it was a good car.One other thing about the car is that the stock tires suck you have no traction at all, but i foiund a solution to that i put some of my zip zaps monster truck tires on it it could go anywere but in the grass and gravel it rode on the carpet perfectly.

I love my xmod. YES the plastic breaks IF you tighten the screws to much. if jumped this thing off speed pumps rolled it and did not break anyting. they are fast. the only problems i had is when I added a 7.4 volt battery pack and locked the rear end, and added a new alluminum chassis, and motor and main board with 3x3 fets, but when its hitting 40-45mph and then you can mess the boddy up and break the dog bones in the front and rear(now they are aluminum). radio shack made a great product they are fun to mod. i dont kow Why others had problems but it withstands ALOT of abuse and wont break if its stock or modded i guees there is more than meets the eye

these rc vehicles are among few with potential. after this level of modification comes gas powered hobbie cars. these cars are fast out of te box. even though thre is friction without the bearing set, a stage one mtor and a low gear ratio it is as fast as the ferrari f150 radio shack had to sell for christmas. est. speeds would be about 2o -25 mph out the box with max. speeds unknown. one thing to watch out for is its weak plastic chassis. to many bumps and kiss it goodbye. it is sturdy but thin. alot of the parts ae inter changable and upgradable down to the gearbox cover. and even he chassis. there are aluminum parts also. i recomend this to all who love cars ad take interest in having a fun fully costomizable and really great rc vehicle. a proud associate of radio shack n a precise street tunner.

The Transformers Xmods cars come with poorly built and poorly detailed bodies, and with no upgrades left in the stores they are too expensive for what they are worth. The Xmods Evo's are amazing if you have purchased them before they produced these gimmick bodies. Your best bet is to remove the terrible body and buy the better ones on various websites.

First off, the servo(what makes the car steer) broke within 4 days of buying this Xmods Camaro. This was a wiring issue. Then when I got a new one from Radioshack, and the wishbone (a part that gives power to the wheels) decided to snap in half. So now I have to waste gas and go get a replacement part for a very fun but aggrivating toy.

this may sound immature but this thing is awsome. i like to do all of the upgrades i can.i just love it. i have two of them, one to play with and the other for a collectors item. a good heads up for new buyers is to get durecell rechargeables or some other kind because alcaline just run out so fast and they get expensive.!.!.!

the bumblebee and barricade is low quality [...] I had to return it 3 times and just got my money back.Each car had the same problem it broke where the plastic holds the differential. It was cracked.

I recently started collecting Bumblebee items and this was one of my frist and I personally love it with all my heart, the engine upgrades and etc work great with it, but I prefer to keep the original look of Bumblebee's Camaro concept, so i only added the headlights and rear lights, new engine, suspension, and steering upgrades. No lights on the bottom or weapons on the outside so i can keep that good Camaro look on it forever!

I have the all wheel drive upgrade and the wheel upgrade and I also have the stage 2 engine upgrade and let me tell you, this thing is F.A.S.T. And one time my friend challenged me to a demolitoin derby with his Hummer H2. well, lets just say that his four wheel drive went to three wheel drive. And so my conclusion is that this thing is also T.O.U.G.H.!!!

i use this car in my basement because i have tile and it is good for drifting. its great because it is super fast..you wont know unless you get one, it hase many attachment; FYI the neon lights for the bottom of the car scrapes on ground slowing you down and even stopping you. cons: it costs alot but is worth it, it has an ok construction. My car broke an hour after i baught it( the steering broke).It might of been from playing tag with them and ramming them but what ever i still like it and i got another one... it works fine but takes skill and practice to control.
overall its so good ill race it for money lol

I've gotten a few of the new Xmods and this one is the best by far. I've lowered it and installed the race suspension kit on it with the light kits and it handles like a champ with the occassional spin out due to too much throttle.

i use it in my garage because it goes very fast but the only thing is it burns batteries alot but of course i have used it for a while and i got it wendsday and the battery lasted at top speed for about an hour and the battery is worn out by saturday so that is the only problem

i first bought one and used it outside then the whole back fell apart. then i returned it for a new one and it seems fine. the only thing is that ill have to upgrade for more speed but it is really fast stock. would buy for any child age 12-16. really fast for xmod!
