Comments about RadioShack AM/FM/Weather Tabletop Radio:

So compact, it fits in any small room. We're moving to Florida so Weather broadcasts which come in loud & clear by the way, will come in handy for monitoring hurricane tracking, etc. Liked the separate hidden compartment for the AC cord. [...] Buy it!!!!

I work in a brick and steel building and most radios don't receive good AM reception. This gets all the local AM, I can listen to sports again. Good sound for the size.

Comments about RadioShack AM/FM/Weather Tabletop Radio:

Television is great, but sometimes I just like to "listen" to the news. Also, in the event of a power failure it's great to have around to stay in touch with the outside world. Purchased it mainly to have on hand in case of hurricanes which we are subject to in South Louisiana.

This radio reminds me of the one I had in the sixties, but sounds much better.

Comments about RadioShack AM/FM/Weather Tabletop Radio:

Bought to replace a cheap $10 radio, worth spending a little more money. Decent sound, knobs tight and smooth, decent reception, seems well built. Lid to battery compartment a little tight but closes after some manipulation if the cord is out.

Comments about RadioShack AM/FM/Weather Tabletop Radio:

Took unit into North Ga mountains camping. We were very pleased with reception and sound. Where we camp, our AT&T phones have no reception but we picked up radio stations from Atlanta to Chattanooga and everything between. Weather band seems a bit touchy but works. We even picked up an AM station, in the daytime, that was over 80 miles away.

Pros:
Durable, Good Sound Quality
Best Uses:
Home Use, Shop or Cubicle
Describe Yourself:
AM talk show listener
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about RadioShack AM/FM/Weather Tabletop Radio:

Had two days mainly for AM talk Radio. Good reception background noise minimal. Local stations crytal clear distant stations fade in and out with background noise. At night I pick up stations from the Midwest and Casper Wyoming. Simple radio that is adequate for local stations. I pick up the weather station 60 miles away - this requires use of antenna. AC cord will store with batteries in though a little tight. Am reception is clearer than my other portable Cd player boom boxes.

Comments about RadioShack AM/FM/Weather Tabletop Radio:

This is a nice radio, looks great and is very sturdy. I find tuning to be easy and has nice sound quality. Even my son (Mr. iPod) likes it. The only negative I can see is when you use batteries, the AC cord (attached) cannot be stored. Would have preferred a detachable power cord. Otherwise you can't beat this radio for the price!

Comments about RadioShack AM/FM/Weather Tabletop Radio:

I live 12 miles from a NOAA station, this radio could barely pick it up on the weather channel. AM is very weak also. In short, it just dosn't have any receiving power, might be good for a in the city radio, but it has no pulling power. I brought it back, and up graded to a stronger radio. I live 40 miles from a big city.

Comments about RadioShack AM/FM/Weather Tabletop Radio:

This is a very good AM/FM radio. Weather band reception leaves a bit to be desired. The 'C' batteries last a good, long time. It is a suprisingly good AM DX radio. No noticeable frequency drift. FM reception is extremely good for a radio this size. I bought this during a Crazy Days sale because our dealer was overstocked. It's proved to be an excellent bargain.

Comments about RadioShack AM/FM/Weather Tabletop Radio:

My husband could not get the different channels he likes to listen to when we are in Maine. I bought this for him for our anniversary. He said he didn't need another radio (he had two small transistors), but when he first used this a few weeks ago, he was delighted. Great reception, good sound quality and a good size. Since he is older, this was like the radios he used to have. Also, the price was very reasonable. We have had many other Radio Shack products and have never been disappointed with them. This is no exception!

Comments about RadioShack AM/FM/Weather Tabletop Radio:

I'm a sixty year baby boomer and it's nice to see that someone still sells analog portable radios of the kind that I grew up with. I purchased it mainly for emergencies, but find myself using it every day to listen to the morning news while shaving. Thanks Radio Shack.
